I've been professionally acting since 2000 and so deeply love this craft. This year, I understudied the Pulitzer Prize winning play, "Water By The Spoonful" at Court Theatre and am playing Mel in Silk Road Rising's production of "The Hundred Flowers Project".

In 2013, I performed staged readings in addition to working on the TV show, "Chicago Fire" and other commercial work. In 2012, I was onstage at the Goodman Theatre with the world premiere of the play, "The World of Extreme Happiness" by Frances Cowhig. This workshop show was part of the Goodman's New Stages events. The show was fierce in constitution and tragically, darkly funny. Here I am as Artemis Chang, below.

Above is a fun, online commercial that's currently running. I love it!

And here's my acting bio:

Mia Park loves communicating with people. She is a Chicago based actress, MC, spokesperson and host of the kid's TV dance show, Chic-A-Go-Go!

Mia has professionally acted since 2000 and is deeply connected to the freedom and challenge of acting. She first became comfortable in front of the camera hosting Chic-A-Go-Go! Without formal training and with great timing, Mia plunged into commercial acting, signing with several agents and joining the acting unions SAG and AFTRA within one year.

After taking a scene study class, she realized how much work and training this profession requires. Mia went on to complete the improvisation program at I.O. and the Meisner program at Act One Studios. She began theater acting at Act One and shortly there after was cast as the titular role in the hit play, "The Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow" with Collaboraction. The theater bug bit and holds on. Mia joined the stage union, AEA, in 2008 and is currently performing staged readings.

Recognizing a need for more opportunities for Asian American theater artists in Chicago, Mia co-founded A-Squared Theatre Workshop in 2006 and is a Board member. A-Squared creates these opportunities, having produced two plays and over a dozen staged readings. A-Squared is a non-profit, 501C3 organization.

Mia also enjoys working on films and voice over opportunities. She's grateful to work in Chicago's supportive and nurturing acting community. Sign up for Mia's monthly newsletter, "Bright & Beautiful" to read about her acting events and much more.
