I just love this CD! H.O.T.B. has all the qualities of lovable punk: catchy hooks you hum, raging vocals with a message, high high high energy you rock out to.
Whether they want to be lovable punk is questionable, but it's hard to resist the charm of lead singer Wangyue's Chinese accent as she belts out messages of anti-"cunt"ism, sexual awakening and social justice. The band has the technique to say what it wants and the sass to make you like it. H.O.T.B. translates feminism, racial issues and sexual confidence through any cultural barriers. I hope their live show is as fun as their CD!
